Adventure awaits! Welcome to Term 2 After-School Shred Squad LITE WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR? Junior/Beginner MTB riders aged approx. 6-7 (older kids welcome). Suitable for riders very capable of riding 'green-rated' Beginner trails and/or very easy Blue Intermediate trails. Indicative trails: Wombats, Rollercoaster, Playground, Sugarglider MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Minimum age of 6 - Minimum wheel size of 20-inches - Willing to and capable of riding for an hour WHAT THIS PROGRAM IS ABOUT: This 8-week after-school program encourages kids to learn and develop their mountain bike skills, to push their boundaries, and to conquer obstacles. Led by qualified MTB instructors with first-aid certificates and Working with Children Checks, our programs focus on building a solid foundation of skills tailored to each child's age and ability to help them unlock their potential. But Shred Squad is not just about mountain biking - it's about building connections and creating a sense of camaraderie among the kids through teamwork, encouragement, and shared experiences. Things to note: - Due to limited instructor availability, there will be ONE mixed-age LITE squad in Term 2, so we have had to tighten up the age and ability range to ensure a valuable experience for everyone. DETAILS Weekly on Thursdays from May 1-June 19 8-week program, term weeks 2-9 4pm-5pm Starts & ends at the Mystic Trailhead $200 per child WHAT TO BRING: - Mountain Bike suitable for offroad riding - AS-approved helmet (no skateboard/equestrian helmets, or similar) - Water (bottle or backpack) - Clothing that offers some protection (ie, no singlet tops) - Optional but encouraged: gloves, knee pads, elbow pads, long sleeves MYSTIC MEMBERSHIPS All riders require a current Mystic Park membership to participate These are free for kids under 15 years and can be purchased here: https://www.elevationmystic.com/pass-options/mountain-pass/ If you have any questions about the suitability of your child for this program, please get in touch via email or phone: bike@ridecraftmtb.com.au
