Adventure awaits! Welcome to Easter Holiday Shred Squad. WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR? These sessions are suitable for junior riders who are at least a Pre-Intermediate level, are comfortable climbing uphill for 20+ minutes, and are already riding easy Blue intermediate trails (such as Shred Kelly, Tombstone at Mystic Park). Riders must be riding a geared mountain bike with a min. wheel size of 24-in. Indicative age range of 8-11* years - however, riding experience is more important than age. Riders must be willing and capable of continuous uphill climbing for 20 mins at a time. If you are unsure of your child's suitability for this group, please contact us to discuss. WHAT IS THIS PROGRAM ABOUT? Easter Holiday Shred Squad will encourage kids to learn and develop their MTB skills, to push their boundaries, conquer obstacles, and discover the joy of outdoor exploration with like-minded kids. Led by qualified and experienced mountain bike instructors with first-aid certificates and Working with Children Checks, our program focuses on building a solid foundation of biking skills combined with plenty of fun trail time. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum wheel size: 24-in - Minimum age: 8* - Already riding blue trails - Willing/able to climb uphill for 20 minutes - Geared mountain bike (no BMX/single-speed) SESSION DETAILS - Sessions run for 2 hours - Each session is $60 - Riders are welcome to attend one or all sessions - Meeting location: Mystic Park Trailhead, Coronation Ave, Bright DATES/TIMES 9am-11am Tues, April 7 Thurs, April 9 Mon, April 13 Wed, April 15 WHAT TO BRING: - Mountain Bike suitable for offroad riding, with gears (min. 24-in wheel size) - AS-approved helmet (no skateboard/equestrian helmets, or similar) - Water (bottle or backpack) & snacks - Clothing that offers some protection (ie, no singlet tops) - Optional but encouraged: gloves, knee pads, elbow pads, long sleeves MYSTIC PARK ENTRY FEE All riders require a Mystic Park Mountain Pass (park entry).
