Adventure awaits! Welcome to Summer Holiday Shred Squad. WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR? These sessions are suitable for junior riders who are at least a Pre-Intermediate level, are comfortable climbing uphill, and are already riding easy Blue intermediate trails (such as Shred Kelly, Tombstone at Mystic Park). Riders must be riding a geared mountain bike with a min. wheel size of 24-in (no BMX or single-speed bikes). Indicative age range of 7-11* years - however, riding experience is more important than age. Riders must be willing and capable of continuous uphill climbing for 15-20 mins at a time. If you are unsure of your child's suitability for this group, please contact us to discuss. WHAT IS THIS PROGRAM ABOUT? Summer Holiday Shred Squad will encourage kids to learn and develop their MTB skills, to push their boundaries, conquer obstacles, and discover the joy of outdoor exploration with like-minded kids. Led by qualified and experienced mountain bike instructors with first-aid certificates and Working with Children Checks, our program focuses on building a solid foundation of biking skills combined with plenty of fun trail time. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum wheel size: 24-inches - Minimum age: 8* - Already riding easy blue trails - Willing/able to climb uphill for 15-20 minutes - Geared mountain bike (no BMX/single-speed) SESSION DETAILS - Sessions run for 2 hours each Monday/Wednesday/Friday of the Summer Holidays (check the below dates) - Each session is $60 - Riders are welcome to attend one or all sessions. - Meeting location: Mystic Park Trailhead, Coronation Ave, Bright DATES/TIMES 8:30am-10.30am Mon, Dec 29 Wed, Dec 31 Fri, Jan 2 Mon, Jan 5 Wed, Jan 7 Fri, Jan 9 Mon, Jan 12 Wed, Jan 14 Fri, Jan 16 Mon, Jan 19 Wed, Jan 21 Fri, Jan 23 WHAT TO BRING: - Mountain Bike suitable for offroad riding, with gears (min. 24-in wheel size) - AS-approved helmet (no skateboard/equestrian helmets, or similar) - Water (bottle or backpack) & snacks - Clothing that offers some protection (ie, no singlet tops) - Optional but encouraged: gloves, knee pads, elbow pads, long sleeves MYSTIC PARK ENTRY FEE All riders require a Mystic Park Mountain Pass (park entry).
