Adventure awaits! Welcome to Term 4 After-School Shred Squad JUNIOR WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR? Strong intermediate (for age) MTB riders, aged approx. 8-10 (older kids welcome), riding a minimum wheel size of 24-inches. Suitable for riders very comfortable riding 'Blue' Intermediate trails and starting to ride more technical Blue trails. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Minimum age of 8 - Strong Intermediate (for age) rider - Minimum wheel size of 24-inches - Willing and capable of moderate uphill climbs of 15-20 mins (ie, Up & At Em and Stairway part 1) WHAT THIS PROGRAM IS ABOUT: This 7-week after-school program encourages kids to continue developing their mountain bike skills, to push their boundaries, and to conquer technical obstacles suitable to their ability levels. Led by qualified MTB instructors with first-aid certificates and Working with Children Checks, our programs focus on building a solid foundation of skills tailored to each child's age and ability to help them unlock their potential. In the final week of the program, we will utilise a gravity uplift shuttle at a cost of $25/rider. This term, the fee is NOT included in your program and will need to be booked separately. PROGRAM DETAILS * 7-week program (7x1.25hr sessions) * Starts Week 2 of term * Weekly on Thursdays from October 16-December 4 * There will be a 1-week midterm break, date TBC * 4pm-5.15pm (1.25 hrs per session) * Starts & ends at the Mystic Trailhead, Coronation Ave, Bright * $215 per child WHAT TO BRING: * Mountain Bike suitable for offroad riding * AS-approved helmet (no skateboard/equestrian helmets, or similar) * Water (bottle or backpack) * Clothing that offers some protection (ie, no singlet tops) * Optional but encouraged: gloves, knee pads, elbow pads, long sleeves MYSTIC MEMBERSHIPS All riders require a current Mystic Park membership (Mountain Pass) to participate These are, unfortunately, no longer free for kids.
