Adventure awaits! Welcome to Term 4 After-School Shred Squad LITE WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR? Junior MTB riders aged approx. 6-8 (approx; older riders welcome). Suitable for riders very capable of riding 'green-rated' Beginner trails and/or easy Blue Intermediate trails. Indicative trails: Wombats, Rollercoaster, Playground, Sugarglider, Jayne's Link, K2 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Minimum age of 6 - Minimum wheel size of 20-inches - Willing to, and capable of, riding for an hour with some climbing (approx. 10-15 minutes climbing at a time) WHAT THIS PROGRAM IS ABOUT: This 7-week after-school program encourages kids to learn and develop their mountain bike skills, to push their boundaries, and to conquer obstacles. Led by qualified MTB instructors with first-aid certificates and Working with Children Checks, our programs focus on building a solid foundation of skills tailored to each child's age and ability to help them unlock their potential. But Shred Squad is not just about mountain biking - it's about building connections and creating a sense of camaraderie among the kids through teamwork, encouragement, and shared experiences. PROGRAM DETAILS * 7-week program (7x1-hr sessions) * Starts Week 3 of term * Weekly on Thursdays from October 23-December 4 * 4.15pm-5.15pm * Starts & ends at the Mystic Trailhead, Coronation Ave, Bright * $175 per child WHAT TO BRING: * Mountain Bike suitable for offroad riding * AS-approved helmet (no skateboard/equestrian helmets, or similar) * Water (bottle or backpack) * Clothing that offers some protection (ie, no singlet tops) * Optional but encouraged: gloves, knee pads, elbow pads, long sleeves MYSTIC MEMBERSHIPS All riders require a current Mystic Park membership (Mountain Pass) to participate These are, unfortunately, no longer free for kids.
